Pernod Ricard Turkey launched the “Bodrum Yeşili” social responsibility project, aimed at increasing the usage and economic value of the Bodrum Mandarin, a geographically indicated product threatened with extinction. The project focuses on enhancing the fruit’s application areas, adding value to the region, protecting orchards, and developing the local agricultural and economic cycle.
The initiative was introduced at a special event held at Bodrum Yadigarı Bahçesi. The project seeks to address the challenges faced by the Bodrum Mandarin, ensure the sustainability of its cultivation, and contribute to the local economy and environment.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear Levent Erden share stories about Bodrum and the Bodrum Mandarin, and savor unique Bodrum Mandarin dishes prepared by Chef Fehmi Samancı.
The evening continued with a live performance by artist Jehan Barbur and was complemented by Bodrum Mandarin-inspired treats provided by Pernod Ricard Turkey. The event celebrated the rich heritage and culinary potential of the Bodrum Mandarin while fostering connections within the community.

Pernod Ricard Turkey to Expand and Continue Efforts to Elevate the Bodrum Mandarin as a Cultural Heritage
Pernod Ricard Turkey is committed to furthering its project aimed at securing the Bodrum Mandarin’s place as a cultural heritage of Bodrum. The project will continue to expand its scope and objectives, including organizing the “Yeşil Bodrum Mandarin Harvest” event in August in Bodrum. Additionally, the foundation will conduct special workshops focused on the Bodrum Mandarin’s usage areas. These initiatives are designed to support the preservation of this cultural heritage and develop sustainable usage opportunities for the fruit.
