This week, the program “Conversations on the Trail of Happiness,” hosted by Özge Zeki, featured a multidisciplinary expert in the health and wellness field. Ezgi Nevçehan, a Pharmacist, Homeopath, and Aromatherapist, shared in-depth knowledge on holistic health approaches, the immune system during seasonal transitions, and the nuances of wellness in modern life.
Homeopathy: The Art of Personalized Treatment
The program began by addressing the topic of homeopathy. Ezgi Nevçehan conveyed the philosophy of homeopathy with these words: “In homeopathy, there is no disease, there is the patient. Who you are is important. The disease is a result of that identity, an expression of the shadow aspects of that identity.”
Nevçehan explained the details of the homeopathic approach as follows: “Even if you have come for eczema, I check your mind, your memory, your sleep, your bodily secretions, your sleeping position – essentially all these characteristics – and based on that, I recommend a homeopathic remedy to resolve the eczema.”

The Language of Illness and the Body’s Messages
Nevçehan interpreted illnesses as messages from the body: “The body truly keeps records. Every event we experience, if it is unresolved, if it is incomplete, the body keeps that record in a certain part of the body. I believe every organ has an emotion.”
She summarized her treatment approach with these words: “Illnesses come to us to show us our shadow aspects. Essentially, they are a sign, a message to bring us back to balance, which we have disturbed by not resolving that shadow aspect.”
Healthy Aging and Psychosocial Factors
While sharing the secrets of healthy aging, Nevçehan made important warnings:
“What we call psychosocial aging is the person’s withdrawal from social life, not producing, being isolated, or lacking a life purpose. That’s why people who retire can experience a much faster mental and spiritual decline.”
The Immune System During Seasonal Transitions
She listed her fundamental recommendations for strengthening the immune system during seasonal transitions: “Absolutely exercise and healthy sleep. The most important thing is healthy sleep and then starting the day with exercise. Second, consuming seasonal vegetables and fruits.”
Emphasizing the importance of sleep hygiene, she said: “Growth hormone is secreted in the body during sleep hours. That hormone is secreted from 11 pm to 2 am. It is very important for us to be in deep sleep during that time frame.”

Critical Warnings on Supplement Use
Making striking statements about dietary supplements, Nevçehan issued this warning: “There are many counterfeit drugs in food supplements bought through online channels. Only the box packaging is different, it looks the same, but the content is very different. As a pharmacist, I have witnessed many poisoning cases.”
She emphasized the importance of magnesium with these words: “Magnesium is responsible for 400 different functions in the body. Magnesium is responsible for constipation, for dementia, and for neck and back pain.”
Vital Advice on Cosmetic Product Selection
Highlighting the effects of cosmetic product choices on health, Nevçehan stated:
“It has been revealed how harmful gel nails are. News in Europe reported that these are triggers for causing cancer and have been banned. The aluminum salts in antiperspirants cause blockages in the lymph nodes.”
Warning Against Misinformation
Finally, warning against misinformation, Nevçehan said: “Right now, with the rise of social media, there is a lot of information but little wisdom. I am almost in my 50s, and even I, as a pharmacist, cannot be sure. My client sits across from me, takes their phone, and asks an artificial intelligence. Believe me, this makes me very sad.”
The program concluded with Ezgi Nevçehan sharing information about her natural ingredient dermocosmetic brand and aromatherapy projects. Nevçehan emphasized the importance of making conscious choices in the field of health and beauty, offering valuable advice to the viewers.
