The Musiki Education Foundation made a memorable night with the Yed-i Sevda concert held at the Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center. The finest pieces of Turkish Classical Music met the audience through the unique interpretations of vocal and instrumental masters.
On this special night, the founder of the Musiki Education Foundation, artist Fikret Erkaya, returned to the stage with an impressive performance after a long break. Conducted by Mehmet Hulusi Yücebıyık, the concert brought the enchanting melodies of Turkish Classical Music to the heart of the city. The event was hosted by the beloved TV personality Murat Aygen, whose song performed alongside the choir received great applause from the art lovers.
Earthquake-Affected Children Spread Hope at the Yed-i Sevda Concert
The highlight of the concert was the performance by the children’s choir from the TEGV Vehbi Koç Foundation Adıyaman container city. Invited by the Musiki Education Foundation, these children were hosted in Istanbul with a special program, and their performance received full marks from the audience. As the young talents enlivened the stage with their songs, their excitement and happiness were evident in their eyes. Artist Fikret Erkaya, the founder of the Musiki Education Foundation, who hosted this meaningful night, expressed his joy in performing for the children after many years. İpek Uralcan, TEGV’s Business Development Manager, also thanked the Musiki Education Foundation for providing such a wonderful experience for the children in her speech at the end of the night. Uralcan additionally announced that the Musiki Education Foundation donated one-year education scholarships to over 150 children. This special concert, organized meticulously by the Musiki Education Foundation and supported by donations, was held completely free of charge for the participants.
