It was emphasized that the public should be informed regularly and the public should be informed regularly. It was pointed out that it would be critical to ensure the administrative and financial independence of the institutions, and it was stated that more importance should be given to the backgrounds of the managers and personnel in these institutions when they are appointed.
Strong Infrastructure for a Strong Turkey
Considering that the telecommunication sector can adapt to the future with a development strategy and action plan that clearly determines competition, and this will be possible with a strong fiber infrastructure; It was stated that it is urgent to pave the way for the necessary investments to expand the infrastructure and to put into practice the common infrastructure that the sector players have agreed on in the past years.
TELKODER Chairman of the Board Halil Nadir Teberci pointed out that the telecommunication sector, which is one of the most critical areas for a stronger Turkey, is almost standing still, while it is expected to make more breakthroughs in recent years, “Our country is entering a new era with a new election, and in this new era, the electronic communication sector will be more developed. More conscious and expert policies should be pursued that will lead to more competition.” said.
Halil Nadir Teberci continued his statement as follows: “For the development of sectors, it is essential to have more independent institutions, to have more experts in these structures, and to implement more faithful policies that ensure competition. The telecommunication sector has a great potential and in the digitalized world, it is shouldering the entire individual life and business world, and therefore the economy. Politicians who will rule our country after the elections need to pave the way for the telecommunication sector in real terms. Expanding the fiber infrastructure, ensuring sectoral competition, reducing taxes, reaching at least OECD level in fixed broadband prevalence, increasing internet speeds further, accelerating the works to be carried out to become an internet exchange center, paving the way for investments in cloud, satellite and data center services and in these areas We also expect the implementation of increasing incentives, harmonizing the KVKK with Europe, and transforming the resources allocated under the Universal Service Fund into necessary investments in rural areas, and a transparent announcement of how these targets will be achieved.”
