Volvo Trucks, one of the leading brands in the automotive sector, has delivered Turkey’s largest electric truck fleet to DSV Logistics. The fleet, consisting of Volvo FH Electric models represented by Marubeni Distribution and Service Inc., was handed over in a special ceremony held at Istanbul Technical University’s Fuat Külünk High Voltage Laboratory, one of Turkey’s leading laboratories.

Speaking at the ceremony, Eşref Zeka, General Manager of Marubeni Distribution and Service Inc., emphasized that this delivery is a milestone in the industry, stating, “Today’s delivery is not just a fleet shipment; it is a valuable step towards our sustainability goals. We are delighted to carry out this special delivery at ITU Fuat Külünk High Voltage Laboratory to raise awareness for the future of electromobility.”

Volvo FH Electric Wins the 2024 International Truck of the Year Award
Kıvanç Kızılkaya, COO of Commercial Vehicles at Marubeni Distribution and Service Inc., announced at the ceremony that the Volvo FH Electric model won the 2024 International Truck of the Year award. This award, being the first given to an electric truck in serial production for its contribution to road transport efficiency, is a significant achievement for Volvo Trucks.
