A summer experience where nature meets art: “Earth Remembers” at Bobo by The Stay, with Borusan Otomotiv as the main sponsor!
Nestled in the natural beauty of Bodrum’s Cennet Koyu, Bobo by The Stay is hosting an impressive open-air exhibition this summer, bringing together art and nature. “Earth Remembers Sculpture Exhibition,” presented with Borusan Otomotiv as the main sponsor, features a selection of large-scale installations by nine international contemporary artists, inviting visitors to a multi-layered exploration amidst the hotel’s olive groves.
Located at the intersection of nature, gastronomy, and art, Bobo by The Stay presents the “Earth Remembers” open-air sculpture exhibition this summer, curated in collaboration with Borusan Otomotiv. The exhibition transforms the hotel’s olive grove into an artistic journey, featuring works by nine renowned artists whose pieces have been displayed at prestigious venues such as the Venice Biennale, Palais de Tokyo, and Tate Modern. Each sculpture engages with its surroundings, offering a fresh perspective on nature, time, and memory. The exhibition will be open for visits from July 11 to August 31.
The exhibition is co-curated by Hervé Mikaeloff, a Paris-based independent curator and art advisor with experience at Fondation Louis Vuitton, Palais de Tokyo, and the Venice Biennale, and Selcan Atılgan, founder of Artsa Consultancy. The organization is led by Artsa Consultancy, an international art advisory firm with offices in Istanbul, Paris, and Dubai.

The participating artists include prominent figures in contemporary art, such as:
- Alicja Kwade (exploring time, matter, and perception of reality)
- Angela Bulloch (known for minimalist yet striking light and sound installations)
- Arne Quinze (inspired by organic forms in nature)
- Camille Henrot (questioning human-nature relationships through everyday objects)
- Gisela Colón (representing organic minimalism with transformative forms)
- Marion Verboom (creating timeless sculptures influenced by archaeology and architecture)
- Sabine Marcelis (crafting sensory experiences with light, color, and material)
- Ugo Rondinone (addressing themes of nature and identity through a poetic lens)
- Wang Keping (showcasing the aesthetic potential of nature through hand-carved wooden sculptures)
The opening event featured curators Hervé Mikaeloff and Selcan Atılgan, along with artists Sabine Marcelis and Arne Quinze. Guests enjoyed sunset cocktails inspired by the artworks, crafted by the gastronomy collective Tanrı Misafiri, alongside specially curated bites.
“Earth Remembers” offers visitors a unique perspective where contemporary art intertwines with nature, enhancing Bobo’s organic landscape with site-specific sculptures.
