The first of the Good Auction, which was organized in 2021 to buy a battery -powered car for the disabled, was realized in order to embrace the wounds in a large earthquake disaster. Dozens of works donated by Collector Yusuf İyiş at the Auction of Goodness at Üsküdar Nevmekan Sahil took place with the presentation of famous chef Ömür Akkor. Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, the President of the Board of Trustees of the Science Foundation, attended the night with his wife Reyyan Erdoğan. Many benevolent business people who lived in Üsküdar and Istanbul on the night of goodness competed with each other to help the earthquake victims.

Speaking at the opening of the night, where 98 works were offered for sale, the Mayor of Üsküdar Hilmi Türkmen said that the aid to the earthquake zone should continue for a long time and that the region needs it:

“It is one of our most important, most meaningful invitations. Mankind likes to help, but I don’t know the most meaningful and most important one I think to help those who have never known, those who are in the narrow. Previously, with the night you attended, we organized a good auction and bought a battery -powered car for our citizens who have 360 walking barriers. There is such a heavy picture. We are trying to wrap this heavy picture together with the state nation. Of course it is not possible to bring back our died citizens. However, it is possible to cover the wounds. As Üsküdar Municipality, we took action since the first minutes of the earthquake. We have done a number of studies, we do it. In the first moments with our search and rescue teams, we are now trying to support our brothers and sisters to provide home and shelter and meet their needs in the tent city, container city, hot food distribution and coming to Istanbul. We are trying to wrap this wound in our own scale. ”

Hilmi Turkmen said that the earthquake affected the whole country and said: “13-14 million people were directly affected by the earthquake. In fact, as the whole country, we are all impressed. We are all experiencing this heavy trauma. We can only gather this wound if we are in a mobilization of the ball together. Otherwise, it is not possible for our citizens to handle the heavy burden. There was an incredible race in terms of help. Everyone is running, “I wonder what can I do?” This is a pride for our country. The first agenda of all our institutions, municipalities and non -governmental organizations, especially our President, was the rescue of our citizens, the aid and wounds. As Üsküdar Municipality, of course, we are doing a number of studies. You are always in the work with your help and all kinds of support. Now, a certain number of works donated by the valuable collector Yusuf Goodness will be presented to you. We will use the collected income to establish a container for our brothers in the earthquake. ”

Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen emphasized that the aid to the earthquake zone should continue in the coming period:

“The cost of a container is minimum 100 thousand TL. As Üsküdar Municipality, we are trying to establish 200 Kyrgyz tents in İskenderun and 200 Kyrgyz tents in Adıyaman. I hope Ramadan came in both areas of Earthquakes in the container city and Kyrgyz tents will start to host our citizens. In the earthquake zone, we distribute three kinds of hot food to 8-10 thousand people a day. The daily cost of these dishes is 1 million pounds to us. There will continue until life returns to normal. We will continue to be there. Mr. President promised to deliver the houses within a year. Accordingly, we should continue to maintain these services at least one more year. We have a truck that we have turned into a large kitchen. During Ramadan, we will visit all the provinces and districts that have experienced the earthquake one by one and provide hot meals with our iftar meals there. During Ramadan, we will not make an iftar program in Üsküdar. We will only make a bulk iftar to our brothers in the earthquake zone that comes to Istanbul. We have about 7500 earthquakes in our district. So our job is a little too much, our load is heavy. We invite you to help this heavy burden to help us to support the earthquake victims. “

Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, President of the Board of Trustees of the Science Foundation Foundation, who participated in the aid night, said in his speech that everyone should continue their help throughout the year:
