The Turkish Mothers Association Küçükçekmece Branch met with its members at the 4th Traditional Autumn Breakfast held at Florya Develi Restaurant on October 14, 2025. At the event, which saw intense participation, projects carried out throughout 2025 were evaluated, and social responsibility activities planned for 2026 were shared with members and guests.
2025 Projects Shared with Participants
Throughout the breakfast, transparent and comprehensive information was provided about all projects carried out during the year, ranging from education to animal protection, from support for earthquake zones to nature conservation activities and visits to the elderly. It was emphasized that all activities were carried out with permits from official authorities, the support of volunteers, and the contributions of donors. The association management stated that all projects were shared transparently through social media channels, expressing that they provide a safe support environment for donors.

The Main Project of the New Period: Greening and Afforestation
Following the forest fires experienced in 2025, “Greening and Afforestation” efforts stood out among the new period projects that emphasized environmental sensitivity. This project was designated as the association’s main activity for 2026, with the aim of leaving a more peaceful and livable future for children. Within the scope of the project, sapling plantings in various regions and events to increase environmental awareness will be carried out.
“Give a Pen, Let Them Write a Life” Education Project Continues
“Give a Pen, Let Them Write a Life,” one of the association’s traditional education projects, will also continue in 2026. The regions to be visited and the project implementation details will be announced in the coming days via the association’s social media accounts. Through this project, support for children with limited access to education will continue.

Voluntary Educational Support from the FİLMSAN Foundation
It was also announced during the breakfast program that Mr. Murat Özen, Chairman of the Board of the FİLMSAN Foundation, would provide voluntary support to the education projects. Mr. Özen stated that he plans to provide diction training to children and contribute to their cultural development through mobile theater activities. In addition to the main projects, various side projects are also planned to be shared with the public during the year.

Among the figures leading the breakfast organization were Turkish Mothers Association Küçükçekmece Branch Board President Figen Gürlek, Second President Funda Baykan, Gülriz Erdıllı, and association members Gülcan Şen, Gülay Pelister, Filiz Şahin, and Emine Karagözoğlu. The participants provided detailed information about the association’s activities and project operational processes throughout the breakfast. The program’s presentation was undertaken by association member Pınar Sağlık.

Thanks and Plaque Ceremony for Volunteers
At the event, plaques of appreciation were presented to volunteers who supported the projects. Plaques were presented by the association management to Ms. Gülcan Şen on behalf of Arıes Tur, Ms. Merve Kaynar, owner of Sen Değilim Special Education and Rehabilitation Center, and Ms. Arzu Yumak, a teacher at the same institution.
Ms. Merve Kaynar also made a special, meaningful contribution to the breakfast by donating two wheelchairs to be delivered to those in need. This sensitive donation was highly appreciated by the participants.
