What is Wellbeing?
In today’s fast-paced world, our mental and emotional health are as important as our physical health. This is where the concept of “wellbeing” comes into play. Wellbeing is a term that refers to individuals’ overall quality of life and satisfaction. It encompasses a state of balance involving physical, mental, emotional, and social components, focusing on how a person feels in the main areas shaping their life.
The term wellbeing encompasses daily choices that provide balance in a person’s three main bodies: physical, mental, and spiritual. It also refers to maintaining simultaneous balance in Career, Financial, Social, and Environmental life, as highlighted in Gallup’s 2010 Wellbeing Study, which represents 98% of the world’s population. Wellbeing is an overarching term that includes all wellness and preventive medicine practices.
