AK Party Konya Deputy and 28th Term Parliamentary Candidate Tahir Akyürek participated in an event organized by Memur-Sen on the occasion of World Midwives Day. As part of his election campaign, Akyürek met with the citizens in the neighborhoods of Eğribayat and Sille in the Selçuklu district and stated, “There are those who want to carry out operations on Turkey at the moment. There are elements of this operation from the US President to terrorist leaders. We all see and know this. Simple and personal issues should not cause us to overlook the future and survival problem of our country.”

AK Party Konya Deputy and 28th Term Parliamentary Candidate Tahir Akyürek continues his fieldwork without slowing down with just a few days left until May 14th.

Starting his daily program by participating in the celebration organized by Memur-Sen Konya Branch on the occasion of World Midwives Day, Akyürek stated that healthcare workers have been working sacrificially and relentlessly in the toughest days. Akyürek said, “The best among people are those who serve people directly. You are the members of such an honorable profession. May Allah grant you to live in health, well-being, and peace with the prayers you receive. Memur-Sen and Sağlık-Sen and their affiliated organizations have been the first organizations to raise their voices when problems arise in Turkey, when attacks are made on our nation, country, beliefs, and values. This is as important as our professional solidarity. We sometimes face internal and external threats. May 14th is important for us in this sense. There are those who want to carry out operations on Turkey at the moment. There are elements of this operation from the US President to terrorist leaders. We all see and know this. Simple and personal issues should not cause us to overlook the future and survival problem of our country. I know that you are also sensitive in these regards. May Allah be pleased with all of you.”

AKYÜREK IN EĞRİBAYAT NEIGHBORHOOD

Akyürek later moved from the AK Party Konya Provincial Election Coordination Center to Eğribayat Neighborhood to work in the Selçuklu district. Akyürek, who met with the locals here, participated in the traditional thanksgiving prayer event. After the prayers, Akyürek chatted with the locals at the Eğribayat Neighborhood Retirement House and then moved to Sille Neighborhood in Selçuklu district, an ancient settlement.

There, Akyürek met with families having picnics at Sille Observation Terrace and chatted with them while giving them carnations, asking for support for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the People’s Alliance in the upcoming elections. During the district visits, which generated a lot of interest, the locals wished success to Akyürek and the People’s Alliance.

AK Party Konya MP and 28th-term MP candidate Tahir Akyürek was accompanied on his Selçuklu visits by AK Party Konya MP Ahmet Sorgun, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Selçuklu Council Member Hasan Aydın, AK Party Konya Provincial Board Member Mustafa Gürbüz, and AK Party Selçuklu District Chairman Asım Ceyhan.
