President Büyükakın visited the mothers of martyrs in Gebze on the occasion of Mother’s Day and received their prayers.
Tahir Büyükakın, the Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, visited Beyhan Yaprak, the mother of Lieutenant Selahattin Yaprak who was martyred in 1994, and Fatma İnceoğlu, the mother of Private İzzettin İnceoğlu who fell martyr in 1997, along with their families on Mother’s Day. President Büyükakın greeted the hands of the martyr’s mothers, presented flowers, and extended his Mother’s Day wishes, saying, “We cannot alleviate the pain of our martyr, but consider us as your children, accept us as your own. Our martyr is the child of our homeland.” The visits in Gebze were attended by Şahin Talus, the AK Party Provincial Chairman of Kocaeli, and Hasan Aydınlık, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Metropolitan Municipality.
