It has been reported that there is significant participation from both Turkey and around the world in the International Düzce Konuralp Film Festival, which will be held for the first time in May. According to the data shared by the Festival Organizing Committee, a total of 761 submissions were made to the festival in just one month, 446 of which were from abroad.
Supported by the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and organized in cooperation with the Düzce Governorship, Düzce Municipality, Düzce University, and the Düzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the festival will take place between May 15–18, 2025. Film submissions began on February 25, 2025. The festival, which attracted great interest in a short period, has Düzce Governor Selçuk Aslan as the Honorary Chairman of the Board. He made the following remarks on the matter:

Nearly 800 submissions in one month
“We had invited all cinema lovers to come to Düzce and be a part of this excitement. Düzce is a dynamic city that has achieved remarkable success in every field it serves, and it continues to crown these achievements. We believe our city will become an integral value through art and culture. The Düzce Konuralp Film Festival takes its name from the city’s roots. The roots of history unite with cinema. This festival, which will be held in Düzce for the first time, will carry our city one step further through art. The fact that we received nearly 800 submissions in just one short month has also increased our sense of responsibility.”

Final Submission Date for the Festival: April 30, 2025
Governor Aslan also stated that submissions will close on April 30, 2025, and continued:
“There will be competitions in three main categories at the festival: Fiction Film, Documentary Film, and Production Support. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners in each category.

This year’s prize amount for that award has been set at 60,000 TL.”
