Mersin, Turkiye – The Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) is hosting the exhibition “Talking Letters: Messages from Masters to the Youth” from December 19 to 30, 2025. The exhibition features letters from leading figures in the worlds of culture, arts, education, academia, and medicine, offering guidance to younger generations. It opened to the public with a ceremony at the MTSO Art Gallery on December 19, 2025.

The opening was attended by MTSO Board Chairman Hakan Sefa Çakır and Assembly President Hamit İzol, along with Board Members Murat Aktoğ and Zeynel Aydemir, Prof. Dr. Sadi Uzunoğlu, Head of the Economics Department at Trakya University, and numerous art enthusiasts.
An Intergenerational Transfer of Memory and Experience
Curated by Seha Dosdoğru and managed by Günsu Saraçoğlu and Betül Ketenci, “Talking Letters: Messages from Masters to the Youth” brings together letters written by distinguished individuals from various disciplines to the youth. The exhibition makes the transfer of knowledge visible through personal narratives, creating a strong bridge between oral and written memory. This special work, which holds both archival and collection value, has also been published as an accompanying book. Each letter in the book offers a multi-layered experience, allowing viewers and readers to access audio narrations by the authors via QR codes. Through the combination of text, sound, and visuals, the letters are not only read but also listened to and reinterpreted.

“Talking Letters” aims to transform the personal experiences of masters into tools of cultural transmission and create a space for intergenerational dialogue. The project was realized with contributions from Bülent Ketenci, Aydın Boru, Evrim Art Gallery, mikado Communication, and Doğru Adımlar Consulting.
A Journey Believing in the Transformative Power of Art
In their opening speech, project managers Günsu Saraçoğlu and Betül Ketenci thanked the MTSO management for their support in bringing the project to Mersin’s art community and co-project manager for Mersin, Tuğba Küçükbahar.
Saraçoğlu and Ketenci emphasized the project’s foundation, stating: “This project is a concrete expression of our belief in the transformative power of art and our dream of illuminating our children’s future through art. With ‘Talking Letters,’ we experience the joy of leaving a lasting document of our time for future generations.”
