In this program where we hosted Ömer Şahan, who is from Elbistan, a graduate of Akdeniz and Fırat Universities, former radio/television program host, singer and actor, the young artist underlined that he grew up in a loving family that gives heart and value to art and said, “My family are all artists. My mother has a very beautiful voice. Ninety percent of my cousins are either painters or musicians. But of course, they are not known because they are not doing this professionally.”

He got in front of the screen by coincidence!
Ömer Şahan, who attracted the attention of the director when his roommate sent the clip he shot in his home conditions to the director on whose set he worked during his years as a student at the university, started his on-screen experience with small acting roles and later became a presenter who signed successful programs called “Sinevizyon” and “Bize Sorun” for years.

He wrote the song “Sonumu Gördüm” on the road!
Ömer Şahan, who stated that he sang the song at once one night when he traveled from Elazığ to Elbistan, said, “Then I picked up the phone, recorded it. I made minor corrections and that’s how we made that song.”

“When I listen to most songs, I don’t understand what they say.”
Ömer Şahan, who found a place in the media in a short period of two years and made a name for himself in important places, said, “There are many good voices in Turkey who have not made their voices heard. I don’t know if I stand out from the crowd. I am a person who tries to do art for art’s sake. I am not trying to make songs according to the society, according to the pulse of the society. I am trying to do the job I want to do.”

Responding to criticism about his interpretation of the late Kerim Tekin’s song Kar Beyaz, the artist said, “It is a very difficult song. Why should we listen to Ömer Şahan when there is Kerim Tekin, but I wanted something like this to stay with me when I get older tomorrow, when I pass away. If I hadn’t done it, it would have stayed inside me.”
