The Green Dot Student Awards, organized by the ÇEVKO Foundation, found its winners in a spectacular ceremony held on December 19, 2023. In its second year, the awards aim to encourage university students who stand out with environmentally friendly products, applications, and projects.
Award Ceremony with GCA’s Main Sponsorship
The Green Dot Student Awards, sponsored by GCA with bronze sponsorship from Coca-Cola İçecek and Uludağ İçecek, took place this year. The ceremony is organized to reward original projects by university students in the fields of environmental responsibility, packaging design, and waste management.

Statements by ÇEVKO Foundation General Secretary Mete İmer
In his speech at the award ceremony, ÇEVKO Foundation General Secretary Mete İmer emphasized that the Green Dot is an indicator of extended producer responsibility. He stated that ÇEVKO Foundation is the sole authority for the Green Dot in Turkey, covering over 540 million consumers. İmer also revealed that the number of companies licensed by ÇEVKO Foundation with the Green Dot reached 1,335 as of 2023, and highlighted the high awareness of the Green Dot among Turkish consumers.

Purpose and Scope of the Green Dot Student Awards
The ÇEVKO Foundation aims to reward and encourage exemplary work in environmentally friendly responsible production and consumption with the Green Dot Student Awards. Mete İmer noted that the awards were determined with the contributions of the diligent jury members and extended his congratulations to all the award-winning students.

Winning Projects at the Green Dot Student Awards
At the Green Dot Student Awards ceremony, 12 projects from 17 different universities were awarded in three categories. In the Packaging Eco-design Category, projects such as “E-turn,” “Tudi,” “Lutri,” and “Yap-Boz-As” were recognized. The Waste Management Systems and Applications Category included winning projects like “Attık,” “E-dönüşüm,” and “Phytocycle.” In the category of Social Responsibility Practices on the Environment, “Acugençlik Social Responsibility Project,” “Suyun Gözyaşları,” and “Her Çocuk Bir Tohumdur” received awards.

This significant award ceremony aims to highlight how the younger generation contributes to the future with environmentally friendly projects, fostering awareness for a sustainable world. The Green Dot Student Awards contribute to increasing awareness of environmental issues and strive to educate young individuals to become environmentally conscious citizens.
