EDS-LOG Global Logistics, which has adopted the 7 truths of logistics as its mission, managed to grow 125% in 2023 and make a turnover of 120 million TL despite all the negativities. Stating that they will be investment-oriented in 2024, EDS-LOG Global Logistics Co-Founder Gökhan Edis said, “This year, we aim to grow 100%. We will expand our warehouse and distribution network in Europe and invest in our qualified human resources.”
Founded by 2 partners in Izmir in 2022, EDS-LOG Global Logistics has adopted the 7 truths of logistics as its mission and turned it into a company slogan. EDS-LOG Global Logistics, which unites 7 Continents with the 7 Truths of Logistics, provides services in maritime, road and airway.
EDS-LOG Global Logistics, which managed to grow 125% in 2023 despite all the negativities, will give importance to project transportation in addition to standard transportation in 2024. EDS-LOG Global Logistics Co-Founder Gökhan Edis said, “We will expand our agency network from Europe to the remote corners of the world. In addition, our biggest investment this year will be in qualified personnel. We will expand our staff. In addition to our current services, we will focus on long-term, contracted transportation. We aim to increase our contracted customer portfolio.”
125% GROWTH IN 2023, WILL GROW BY 100% BY THE END OF 2024
Stating that they are planning that the current year 2024 will be one of the attack years of EDS-LOG Global Logistics, Edis said, “If a new global crisis does not occur in 2024, we aim to keep our growth rate above 100%.” Emphasizing that they try not to reflect the increases in fuel prices on freight prices as much as possible, Edis said, “However, we do not have much chance to intervene in prices on the shipowner and seaway side of the business. For this reason, we aim to make better contracts with shipowners and provide our customers with more favorable prices in terms of freight.”
WILL EXPAND ITS WAREHOUSE AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORK IN EUROPE
“The year 2024 started more stagnant than we had anticipated and it is staying that way. Exporters and importers are in a difficult situation. Their costs are very high. We are changing our investment strategy according to the current situation. In the summer of 2024, we hope that the markets will revive,” Edis said, adding, “We aim to expand our warehouse and distribution network abroad, especially in Europe. We continue to work on this issue. In addition, we continue to work to increase the existing qualifications of our team and to bring new qualified people to our team.” Finally, Edis made the following statements: “There is a recession in the market right now. Our hope is that the markets will open in the coming months. We hope that 2024 will not be like 2023. Because if it goes the same way again, many companies in the sector will shut down. We have set ourselves the goal of making sustainable investments. In this framework, we will shape our investments according to the course of global crises such as the Suez Canal. The logistics sector is a driving force for our country’s economy. Our country’s economy will come to a dead end without logistics. Import and export costs will increase and the foreign trade deficit will grow. In this context, we hope that our state will work for laws that protect logisticians and reduce the costs of the logistics sector.”
