Loft Art, with its mission to create space and support independent artists, is pleased to announce the group exhibition “Duality.” Featuring 13 independent artists, this exhibition will be available for viewing at Loft Art from May 15 to June 29, 2025. The exhibition aims to build a deep dialogue shaped by the concept of duality. The participating artists include Alara Başar, Batuhan Daşdemir, Dilara Pak, Eda Duru Çetin, Fatih Kahya, Gonca Acar, Mustafa Mutlu, Mesut İkinci, Oğuzhan Atatanır, Özlem Çetin, Reyhan Mente, Seda Dokumacı, and Sefa Çatuk.
Exhibition Theme: Dual Narratives and Dialogue
The exhibition presents a multi-layered discourse by structuring the concept of duality, frequently encountered in art production, through contrasts, similarities, and transitions. Oppositions such as body and soul, nature and artificial, reality and representation are presented in the exhibition as dual narratives that establish relationships and undergo transformation.
Dialogues Among Artists
The exhibition invites the audience to engage in intellectual questioning by not limiting the relationships between works to formal or thematic similarities but also presenting contrasts and unexpected harmonies. These pairings establish both overt and subtle dialogues between the artists’ methods of production and the worlds of their content, forming the conceptual backbone of the exhibition.
Multilayered Interaction for the Audience
Each duo offers the audience the opportunity to participate in the meaning-making process, creating a space for multilayered interaction. Thus, the exhibition goes beyond singular narratives, proposing a polyphonic, transitional, and dialogical structure. It demonstrates that the relationships between artworks, and between the artworks and the viewer, can be fluid, transformative, and pluralistic.

“Each piece speaks to the one next to it; sometimes it argues, sometimes it completes.” The “Duality” exhibition aims to explore the potential of dual forms of expression in art production through encounters and connections.
