Painter, poet and cardiovascular surgery specialist Ahmet Öcal met with Istanbul art lovers with his latest work “Simulation of Truth”. Opened on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Evrim Art Gallery, the solo exhibition will be open to art lovers until May 24, 2024.
In addition to his 25 oil paintings, the artist’s 38 special collection, which he prepared for the first time in the world by using X-ray films as canvas with the technique he developed himself, attracted great interest.
In Ahmet Öcal’s works, it is seen that he deals with the alienation of man from nature and his inner world and universal issues by fragmenting them. In his figurative works, the artist deals with deep issues such as human loneliness and fate, and offers the viewers the opportunity to think and go on an emotional journey with his works. The details and depth of his works offer an inspiring experience by reflecting human existential conflicts and the reason for existence.
Ahmet Öcal’s works are included in many collections both in Turkey and abroad. They offer viewers the opportunity to question the complex relationship between man and nature and his inner world. The artist’s fragmented figures roam freely in the void, inviting the viewers to think and take them on an emotional journey.
The exhibition can be visited at Evrim Art Gallery until May 24, 2024.
