Youth Map Culture-Art, Ecology and Folk Cultures Association’s “Tomorrow is Yours: Southeastern Anatolia” project, realized with the support of the Ministry of Interior, General Directorate of Relations with Civil Society, is starting in the cities of Ağrı, Batman, and Siirt in Southeastern Anatolia. The project, which will be carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Family and Social Services, is launching its first round, reaching thousands of people, by bringing Karagöz, Puppet, and Orta Oyunu performances to children under state protection and to prisons in each city.

The activities to be carried out in Ağrı, Batman, Siirt, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, and Gaziantep aim to create an awareness campaign within the scope of cultural events by professionally bringing together three different disciplines of Turkish theater both in prisons and with children under state protection.

The project, which emphasizes the healing power of art on the individual and is initiated in disadvantaged areas with the aim of reintegrating individuals into society, is planned to continue in other regions as well.

In this regard, we thank the Ministry of Interior for its support and its sensitive dedication at this point.
