Rumeli Topçu Kalesi, an Ottoman heritage site located at the point where the Bosphorus opens to the Black Sea and dating from the 17th century to the present, was reopened to visitors on September 18, 2026, after comprehensive restoration work. The historic structure aims to be transformed into an international culture and tourism destination through the strategic cooperation protocol signed between Garipçe Turistik İşletmeler and Revenue Danışmanlık.
The protocol signed by Rumeli Topçu Kalesi Director Osman Erdoğan and Revenue Danışmanlık Chairman of the Board Şenel Aybek aims to evaluate the historical heritage with an understanding of sustainable tourism while preserving it. Within the scope of the project carried out with the vision of investor Zeki Türkeş, it is planned to turn the castle not only into a historic structure that is visited, but into a center that hosts culture, art and event organizations throughout the year.
The Historic Castle Will Be the New Address for International Events
Evaluating the future of Rumeli Topçu Kalesi, Castle Director Osman Erdoğan drew attention to the historical and cultural value of the structure and used the following statements:
“Rumeli Topçu Kalesi is a very precious treasure not only for Istanbulites but also for world history. We want to make this unique structure not only a museum; but a living, producing tourism center that can stand on its own feet.”
In line with this goal, the castle is planned to host different organizations such as international exhibitions, concerts, launch meetings and ballet performances. The events to be held while preserving the historical texture are expected to increase the castle’s visibility in the field of culture and art.

Strategic Cooperation to Open to the Global Tourism Market
Revenue Danışmanlık, which undertakes the international marketing and revenue management dimension of the cooperation, will carry out work to ensure the castle reaches wider audiences in the global tourism market.
Revenue Danışmanlık Chairman of the Board Şenel Aybek evaluated the goals of the project with the following words:
“We are proud to carry this hidden gem at the northernmost tip of Istanbul to the world stage with our revenue management, dynamic pricing and international marketing strategies. We will ensure that the castle is not only a travel route; but a global attraction center where qualified events from launches to concerts, from ballet to exhibitions are organized.”
Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to develop cooperation with international tour operators and global travel platforms. Thus, it is aimed to strengthen the international promotion of Rumeli Topçu Kalesi, diversify the visitor profile and make the business model economically sustainable.

History, Gastronomy and Art Meet in the Same Experience
Rumeli Topçu Kalesi stands out not only with its historical atmosphere but also with a visit experience focused on culture, gastronomy and scenery. At the castle, where the entrance fee for domestic visitors is set at 100 TL, live Mehteran performances held on Sundays offer visitors the opportunity to get to know Ottoman culture closely.
The restaurant and café within the castle host its visitors accompanied by a panoramic view dominating the point where the Bosphorus and the Black Sea meet. The coming together of local flavors with the historical atmosphere supports the positioning of the castle as a versatile destination appealing to visitors with different interests.
A Unique Route for Photography Enthusiasts
Located in the north of Istanbul, at the point where the Bosphorus opens to the Black Sea, Rumeli Topçu Kalesi also draws attention with its geographical location. Especially the changing light conditions in the autumn months, the horizon line and the view of Öreke Kayalıkları make the region an attractive route for photography enthusiasts.
The castle can be visited every day of the week between 09.00–17.00. Visitors who wish to use public transport can use IETT bus number 150 departing from Hacıosman Metro Station.

Goal to Add a New Destination to Istanbul Tourism
The cooperation realized between Garipçe Turistik İşletmeler and Revenue Danışmanlık stands out as a remarkable initiative in terms of preserving historical structures and bringing them into the tourism economy.
The project, which aims to bring cultural tourism together with event organizations, gastronomy and international marketing activities, aims for Rumeli Topçu Kalesi to become one of the important destinations contributing to Istanbul’s tourism diversity.
