Burcu Kurt, one of the distinctive voices of pop-jazz music, meets music lovers with her new single “Aşk Gerek.” Released under the İrem Records label, the song—written and composed by the artist herself—has been available on all digital platforms since February 6, 2026.
Drawing attention with its nostalgic texture and serene atmosphere, “Aşk Gerek” stands out with a sophisticated arrangement centered around Burcu Kurt’s distinctive and pure vocal style. The arrangement and piano performance are signed by Evren Karakul, while the recordings were completed at Hayyam Studios.
The project also features some of Turkey’s leading jazz musicians. Ülker Şenova on trumpet, Engin Recepoğulları on saxophone, Bulut Gülen on trombone, Ekin Bilgin on double bass, and Ekin Cengizkan on drums contribute to the song’s rich musical world.
The visual universe of the song was shaped by creative director Ferhat Şeker. Also overseeing the social media content and overall creative flow, Şeker created an atmosphere that effectively reflects the song’s romantic and minimal emotion, especially through AI-supported short promotional videos.
