The exhibition titled “7 Kişilik” (7 Identities), organized by Yef Arts Media, is hosted by CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel located in Gümüşsuyu, Istanbul. Art is a language capable of expressing itself in infinite forms… The “7 Kişilik” exhibition brings together seven artists who interpret this language with their own unique styles: Adem Başpınar, Engin Korkmaz, İsmail Tetikci, Malik Bulut, Ömer Eken, Raşit Altun, and Sertap Yeğin.
The meeting that these seven artists, who continue their productions in Turkey, and Yef Arts Media founder Mehmet Uzer have wanted to realize for over a year, comes to life with this exhibition. Representing a new turning point for Yef Arts Media, founded in 2016, this exhibition also constitutes a preparatory stage for future international projects. Through their long-standing friendships, the artists transform the convergence of shared experiences and a passion for production not just into an exhibition, but also into a common ground for inspiration.
Collective Production, Shared Inspiration
The artists began producing their new works for the exhibition dated November 7, 2025, towards the summer months. The exhibition text was written by Prof. Dr. İsmail Tetikci. While the transformation process of Yef Arts Media was coordinated by Havva Kurt, a special video series was prepared for the Yef Arts Media YouTube channel parallel to the exhibition.

Titled “7 KİŞİLİK SERGİSİ | Sorularla Bilinmeyen Sahne, Asıl Hikâye” (7 PERSONAE EXHIBITION | The Unknown Stage, The Real Story Through Questions), this series was filmed in July by director of photography Oğuzhan Demirtaş. The voice heard on YouTube also belongs to Oğuzhan. The poster design for the exhibition was prepared by Mavi Öz.
The YouTube interviews begin with Mehmet Uzer’s narration about the exhibition and focus on the text by Prof. Dr. İsmail Tetikci. In the interviews with the seven artists, the initial questions are shaped around the concepts of collective production, friendship, and shared inspiration. Each of these artists, who have built their own artistic language, expresses the power of being together in different ways. The questions in the interview, requested to be answered quickly, are divided into three themes: getting to know the artist and their art, the artist’s inner world and sources of inspiration, and daily life. The short answers allow us to closely witness the daily life of the artist as well.

Heptacolor: The Common Harmony of Seven Colors
Quoting from the text by Prof. Dr. İsmail Tetikci featured in the catalog: “The ‘7 Kişilik’ exhibition can be considered with a ‘Heptacolor’ approach, reminiscent of the seven notes in music. The seven artists, with the combination of seven colors, create a common aesthetic integrity while preserving their individual styles. In this aspect, the exhibition differentiates from group movements based on similar understandings frequently encountered in Turkish painting art, proposing a new discourse where different styles come together.
These artists, each producing with different painting languages, forms of expression, and aesthetic approaches, meet around the same sensitivity to life and similar ideals. They bring together the voices of different worlds side by side, offering a new proposition to the viewer. This togetherness creates an ‘atonal’ harmony, much like the harmony formed by different sounds in an orchestra.

The artists focus on their sincere and authentic productions arising from their inner worlds, beyond the superficial tendencies imposed by popular culture. Distant from fame or ostentation, these names, who strive only to tell their own truth, maintain naturalness, purity, and sincerity in their paintings, thus presenting a stance against the ‘synthetic’ aesthetics of the capitalist world.
‘7 Kişilik’ is a visual orchestra formed by seven artists who walk different paths but look with the same sensitivity. While each contributes to this integrity with their own voice; the exhibition provides both an individual and a collective perspective to contemporary Turkish painting art.”
