The Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Uğur İbrahim Altay, together with AK Party Konya Deputy Selman Özboyacı and AK Party Konya Deputy Candidate Burhanettin Sevencan, inaugurated the City Hall built by the Metropolitan Municipality in the district of Emirgazi.

Mayor Altay, stating that the May 14 elections are the most important among all elections held so far, said, “It is almost a turning point for our country. We want to start the Turkey Century. We are trying to build a leading country in the world, not only in our region but also in the 100th year of our Republic.”

During the opening ceremony, Emirgazi Mayor Nurişen Koçak thanked Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay for all the investments made in the district.

AK Party Konya Deputy Candidate Burhanettin Sevencan stated, “Our Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor continues his investments with our government in our district and region. Today’s opening ceremony of the Emirgazi City Hall is also very valuable. Investments and services will continue. I thank those who contributed.”

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay reminded that they had set three main goals since they took office, “First, districts with completed infrastructure. Second, districts where social life has reached the central standards, and finally, districts where citizens engaged in agricultural and animal husbandry activities have increased their incomes and support. In this sense, we are working intensively. We have made an investment of 148 million Turkish Liras in Emirgazi so far.”

Mayor Altay emphasized that they continue to make projects that will affect the social life of the districts, “City Halls are a concept for Konya. We are building buildings that are the center of social life of our districts, where swimming pools, sports areas, and KOMEK courses are located.”

Stating that the May 14 election is the most important among all elections held so far, Mayor Altay drew attention to the fact that “It is almost a turning point for our country. We want to start the Turkey Century. We are trying to build a leading country in the world, not only in our region but also in the 100th year of our Republic. Our people are insightful, Konyalılar are insightful. We believe that Konya will do what is necessary when it comes to the ballot box. We also believe that you will give a strong support to our President on May 14. Finally, Mayor Altay thanked the Nationalist Movement Party and AK Party district chairmen for working in harmony and added that they will continue to serve Konya together.

AK Party Konya deputy Selman Özboyacı said, “Thanks be to Allah, in our 21 years of rule, there is no place in Turkey’s 81 provinces where we have not left our mark and provided services. Today, we are making a very important opening in Emirgazi. This city hall concept is a very useful project, especially in the center of Konya and the remaining 31 districts, which is widely used by our people and greatly enhances social life. We are providing a very good service to our district, and we are leaving a very beautiful structure here that will change the surroundings of Emirgazi with the seal of the AK Party and our President.”

Following the speeches by AK Party Emirgazi District Chairman Uğur Çanakçı and MHP Emirgazi District Chairman Mehmet Tanrıverdi, Emirgazi City Hall was opened with prayers.

MAYOR ALTAY ALSO MET WITH CITIZENS IN HALKAPINAR

As part of his district programs, Mayor Altay also visited Halkapınar. Together with AK Party Konya Deputy Candidate Burhanettin Sevencan, Halkapınar Mayor Mehmet Bakkal, AK Party Halkapınar District Chairman Fatih Köşger, and MHP Halkapınar District Chairman Ali İhsan User, Mayor Altay met with party members at the AK Party District Organization and also visited local businesses in the district and wished them all the best.
