President Kanar used the following expressions in his message: “Beside the wars to make Anatolian lands a homeland, many wars were fought to liberate the homeland from occupation and for independence. One of these wars is the 18 March Çanakkale epic, which changed the history of the world on the Çanakkale front.

March 18 is the glorious history that our heroic ancestors, who protected the homeland at the cost of their lives despite a thousand and one hardships and absences, showed the world what patriotism means. It is our duty to protect our glorious history, which was written with great heroism.
