Sakhalin Istanbul restaurant, created by Boris Zarkov, founder of the legendary White Rabbit Family brand, and Michelin-starred Chef Vladimir Mukhin, the group’s new project after Moscow, Dubai and Bodrum, was introduced to business and society life on April 23, 2024.
Ahmet Nazif Zorlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zorlu Holding, Boris Zharkov, Founding Chairman of White Rabbit Family Group, Atilla Kuruçayırlı, partner of Sakhalin Istanbul, and important names from art, business and society life attended the magnificent event. Among the guests were well-known figures such as Aziz Yıldırım, Mehmet Aslantuğ, Revna Demirören, Nihat Özdemir, Oktay Kaynarca and Cavit Çağlar.
Sakhalin founder Boris Zharkov and Zorlu had a long conversation with the artists and guests. Meanwhile, the beauty of Mr. Boris’ wife Irina was admired by all the guests.
The gastronomic show of Chef Vladimir Mukhin and Chef Alexey Kogay attracted much attention. Ozan Musluoğlu Trio Group & DJ Doğuş Çabakçor gave a wonderful experience with their performances at the night where specially prepared extraordinary signature dishes and signature cocktails were served. World famous Russian Magician Nikolay Strelnikov’s special show at the tables mesmerized the guests. Another center of attention of the evening was the table decoration. Designed by Sakhalin’s interior designer Irina Glik from vegetables, the table decoration in the shape of a work of art won everyone’s admiration… After dinner in the interior of the restaurant, the guests had fun outside with Doğuş Çabakçor’s special music until the early hours of the morning.
A gourmet journey from Sakhalin Island to Istanbul!
Departing from the rich undersea world of Sakhalin Island, the restaurant arrives in the city and creates a feast of flavors with a menu that appeals to everyone and special recipes, including meat and pasta options that city dwellers are used to. The menu prepared by Vladimir Mukhin blends the best local products with Mediterranean and Asian cooking techniques. Seafood is cooked with Mediterranean seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices to create the perfect dishes. Architect Irina Glik, founder of Geometry design studio, interpreted Sakhalin’s corporate decoration for Istanbul and designed a stylish, modern, art-filled space.
