As part of the DenizBank Concerts, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra will meet the audience on March 24 at the Atatürk Cultural Center with a musical feast equipped with the rich tones of wind instruments. In the concert to be conducted by Can Okan, one of our new generation successful conductors, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra will accompany the valuable soloists, all of whom are members of the wind instrument group, who have made a name for themselves in our country and abroad.
The program, which focuses on Frank Martin’s “Concerto for 7 Wind Instruments”, in which seven soloist instruments that are very different in terms of character and playing technique, meet on stage, wind instruments members of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra; Recep Fıçıyapan (Flute), Sezai Kocabıyık (Oboe), Evrim Güvemli (Clarinet), Sertaç Çevikkol (Bassoon), Altuğ Tekin (Horn Horn), Erkut Gökgöz (Trumpet) and Aslı Erşen (Trombone) as soloists. After Frank Martin’s exciting and extraordinary concerto; Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony will be performed, in which he notes the destruction that a war can wreak on a city.
