UK graduate scholarship opportunity for at least 21 students from Turkey
As part of March 8, International Women’s Day, British Council provides support to those who want to study in the United Kingdom in the 2023-24 academic year with GREAT scholarships and Women in Science STEM scholarships. Scholarship opportunities in various fields from 19 universities in total include both financial and private support for students who want to pursue a master’s degree.
Within the scope of March 8 International Women’s Day, the British Council’s collaboration with the University of Warwick, University of St Andrews and Cranfield University, the Women in Science STEM scholarships and the GREAT scholarships provided by 16 universities from the UK with different specializations, the postgraduate studies in the UK It offers a unique opportunity to students who want to study.

The Women in Science STEM scholarships, implemented by the British Council in cooperation with the University of Warwick, University of St Andrews and Cranfield University, which are among the leading universities in the United Kingdom, provide at least five female students from Turkey with the opportunity to realize their dreams. Scholarships open to women who need financial support for their STEM education and want to inspire future generations to pursue a career in STEM can be applied for on the websites of the University of Warwick, University of St Andrews and Cranfield University. Scholarships cover the fields of engineering, healthcare, biotechnology, aerospace, bioinformatics, design thinking, energy, food, robotics, water-related programs, environmental studies, and sustainability, and include tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel expenses, visa and health insurance fees, as well as maternal It also includes special supports and English language support for scholarship holders.
The scholarship program, which is in its third year, aims to increase opportunities for girls and women in the STEM field and to enable them to further develop their careers in STEM subjects.
Education in the field of interest and a scholarship of 10,000 pounds
Among them Cardiff University, Edinburgh Napier University, Goldsmiths, University of London, Nottingham Trent University, Oxford Brookes University, Teesside University, University of Edinburgh, University of East Anglia, University of Glasgow, University of Hull, University of Stirling, University of York, 16 leading universities in the UK, including Liverpool John Moores University, University of Manchester, University of Bradford and Anglia Ruskin University, offer GREAT scholarships to students from Turkey. In addition to specific scholarships in the fields of justice-law and climate change, the GREAT scholarship program, which also includes scholarships suitable for different interests, is given to each student to cover the master’s education fee of 10,000 pounds.
The deadlines for applications made through the universities’ own websites vary between March and June 2023. Students who are entitled to receive scholarships are contacted by universities after the evaluation of their applications. Application requirements include being a Turkish citizen and being accepted by fulfilling all the requirements of a graduate program at the university.
With over 4500 students from Turkey who choose the UK to study every year, GREAT scholarships continue to build strong connections between Turkey and the UK and welcome all students from Turkey to the UK.

All universities that offer both GREAT and Women in Science STEM scholarships organize webinars on various dates to share detailed information about scholarships, opportunities and programs with students.
