Founded in 2025 by Onur Yılmaz, Filmhouse embarked on its journey with a bold vision to elevate Turkish cinema to the global peak it rightfully deserves.
Dedicating over 20 years of industry experience to this mission, Onur Yılmaz is pioneering the professional-standard distribution of Turkish films worldwide.

This initiative is a first of its kind in Turkey, opening the doors to a new era by expanding the reach of Turkish cinema to a broader international audience.
Filmhouse Entertainment not only aims to release local productions in global markets but also seeks to bring unforgettable Turkish cinema classics to international viewers. In addition to managing the domestic and international sales of completed films, the company plans to introduce the cultural heritage of Turkish cinema to global markets through remake rights.

Onur Yılmaz stated, “Our goal is to present the timeless stories of Turkish cinema in a way that resonates globally. We will represent Turkish cinema on international platforms with both new productions and cult classics.”
Last night, Filmhouse brought together esteemed business partners and key figures from the film industry at a special event held at Kanyon Cinemaximum in Istanbul. The event featured a comprehensive presentation on Filmhouse’s vision and the path Turkish cinema is taking in the global market.

Among the attendees were CJ Entertainment CEO Ferhat Arslan, CGV Mars General Manager Onur Aşa, production company owners Ahmet San, Murat Çiçek, Orçin Yapım, Mert Ozan Düz, İbrahim Akbaba, Okan Genç, Vahdet Erdoğan, Erdal Pekdemir, and Fuat Erman. Also present were Beyaz TV’s Hakan Özer, Cinegenna General Manager Nur Onur, Canan Yılmaz, Ekrem Uygur, Ali Köstekçi, Burhan Akdağ, along with various newspaper representatives.
Filmhouse has appointed Ebru Eren, who has over 25 years of experience in content acquisition for global markets, as General Coordinator and International Sales Director. Ebru Eren will strengthen the company’s international relations and contribute to establishing Turkish cinema as a significant player in the global market.

While Turkish TV series have continued to attract significant global interest over the past 20 years, eight companies from Turkey invest approximately $5 million annually in PR, fairs, and marketing activities. Filmhouse aims to achieve the same level of success for Turkish films, securing a strong market share in international territories.
Filmhouse is also focusing on digital marketing integration to ensure that Turkish cinema receives the recognition it deserves on the global stage.

Onur Yılmaz stated, “The primary mission of Filmhouse is to introduce Turkish cinema to the world, present it accurately, and elevate it to its rightful place while preserving its cultural heritage. Turkish cinema is the story of our past, the voice of our present, and the inspiration for our future. It is our responsibility to share the richness of our culture with the world, protect this valuable heritage, and keep it alive.”
Filmhouse will continue its efforts tirelessly to represent Turkish cinema strongly in the global market.
