The Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) commemorates Ferdi Özbegen, a powerful performer of popular songs, with his unforgettable smile on the 10th anniversary of his passing. TEV started the project, inspired by the smile of Ferdi Özbeğin, who donated all his property and his famous white piano to TEV to support education before his death, with the hope that his memorable smile would turn into the graduation smile of the students.

The Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) commemorates the unforgettable artist Ferdi Özbegen, the pioneer of tavern music in Turkey, with his smile, which is engraved in memories with his songs, on the 10th anniversary of his death. Saying “#membersmile”, TEV is expanding its Don’t Stop Halfway project, which it has implemented for university students who are at risk of leaving their education due to financial, social and psychological difficulties, with donations and supports made in memory of Ferdi Özbeğin.

TEV aims to both commemorate Özbeğin and see the graduation smile on the faces of more young people, with the message “Let Ferdi Özbeğin be remembered with that warm smile in every song, and the education of the students who receive scholarships from TEV, of which he is a donor, should not be interrupted”.

Reminding that the beloved artist Ferdi Özbeğin donated all his property and his famous white piano to the Turkish Education Foundation before his death, TEV General Manager Banu Taşkın said, “The precious Ferdi Özbeğin was a gentleman artist who put his signature to the songs we all loved to listen to. He has touched the lives of hundreds of students with his donation to our foundation. His white piano continues to be a source of inspiration for many young people interested in music at the Turkish Education Foundation İnanç Türkeş Private High School (TEVITÖL) TEV Nevin-Mehmet Bilginer Culture and Art Center.
