At the event, awards were presented to those who achieved success in the national championships of 2023. Additionally, TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı and TOSFED Vice President Nisa Ersoy awarded thank-you plaques to sponsor companies, internationally successful athletes, organizing clubs, and officials who supported the 2023 season.
Introduction of TOSFED’s New Logo
Another significant development at the event was TOSFED’s change of logo after 27 years. The new logo and corporate identity garnered great admiration from the automobile sports community. Launched alongside the Ford Fiesta Rally3 racing car and our domestic automobile, TOGG, the new logo, inspired by the crescent and star, will serve as the federation’s new symbol, reflecting its heritage, vision, strength, and passion.
Starting the 2024 Season with Sarıkamış Rally
Speaking at the event, President Eren Üçlertoprağı, in an event supported by Zorlu Energy, shared the goals for the upcoming season. Üçlertoprağı announced that they would commence the 2024 season with the Sarıkamış Rally at the end of February, naming it after the late founder Oyman Atabay. He also expressed their commitment to work with greater enthusiasm through various branches of the sport and social responsibility projects to enhance the passion for automobile sports.
Request for the Opening of Istanbul Park
President Üçlertoprağı addressed the issue of the Istanbul Park circuit, stating, “The lease agreement for Istanbul Park expired on July 18, 2023. However, the lessee company, described as ‘occupier’ by the General Directorate of Foundations, has not vacated the facility. We expect this process to conclude promptly, and we hope Istanbul Park will be opened to automobile sports, athletes, and the public. In order to prevent further public harm, we will continue to follow this process decisively.”
The Turkish Automobile Sports Federation, with this significant event, adds a new chapter to its successes, further solidifying its support and passion for automobile sports.
