Torbalı Municipality teams carried out checks on whether “column cutting and similar” operations were carried out in the buildings that serve as workplaces on the ground floor.
Continuing its measures and practices for a healthy city that is resistant to natural disasters, especially earthquakes, Torbalı Municipality, with the instruction of Mayor Mithat Tekin, started control studies to determine whether “column cutting process and similar” operations are carried out in the buildings with a workplace on the ground floor. With the participation of the relevant technical personnel from the Torbalı Municipality Building Control Directorate and the Directorate of Science Affairs, the load-bearing elements were checked in the workplaces, accompanied by the teams of the Police Department. As a result of the inspections to be carried out at all workplaces throughout Torbalı, a report will be kept for the buildings that are in violation of the project.

Torbalı Mayor Mithat Tekin, who stated that the inspections will continue uninterruptedly for a more resilient Torbalı, said, “Unfortunately, our hearts were hurt after the earthquakes on 6 February. We, as Torbalı Municipality, started to inspect workplaces for our district, which is located in the first earthquake belt. We will inspect all workplaces in our district that have a structure on them, whether column cutting and similar operations are carried out. Our work for a more resilient Torbalı” will continue.
