“We are planting 100 saplings in the soil”
Deputy Mayor Soydabaş, who spoke at the ceremony, said, “In 2021, we planted trees for a forest that will be a symbol of the friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkey on an area of 60 acres. Today, we are planting 100 saplings in the soil to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the late leader of Azerbaijan. I hope that our ideal of two states, one nation will continue until the end of time.”
“ALIYEV IS THE ARCHITECT OF AN INDEPENDENT AZERBAIJAN”
Azerbaijan’s Istanbul Consul General Narmina Mustafayeva said, “2023 is the 100th anniversary of the birth of our National Leader Heydar Aliyev. We are happy to be in this beautiful memorial forest that carries his name. Today, we will plant 100 saplings for our late leader. Heydar Aliyev is the architect of a strong and independent Azerbaijan. He dedicated his entire life to the happy future of his nation and the establishment of a strong Azerbaijan. This earned him the title of National Leader. For 30 years, the territories occupied by Armenia have been liberated under the leadership of our President Ilham Aliyev, and our three-colored flag is waving in our liberated lands. We hope that this has also pleased our late leader. Heydar Aliyev left us years ago, but it was a separation in body only. His every advice, every word is in the memory of each of us. It will always be like this.”
