The fading tradition of letter writing is being revived in Istanbul through a meaningful project. The project, titled “Talking Letters: Messages from Masters to the Youth,” brings together a special exhibition and book launch featuring letters written by masters in their respective fields, addressed to the younger generation. The letters will be on display at Liv Hospital Ulus from October 1-15, and proceeds from the book’s sales will be donated to support the education of hearing-impaired children through the Children’s Education Association.

The masters not only wrote their letters but also narrated them.

In the project titled “Talking Letters: Messages from Masters to the Youth,” prominent figures from the worlds of art, education, academia, and medicine participate by addressing the youth through letters they have written. Visitors to the exhibition will not only have the chance to see these letters but also listen to them in the voices of their authors.

Proceeds from the book will benefit children in need.

The “Talking Letters: Messages from Masters to the Youth” project is supported by notable individuals and organizations such as Monik İpekel, Seha Dosdoğru, Bülent Ketenci, Istanbul Lale Foundation, Liv Hospital, Evrim Art Gallery, Doğru Adımlar Consulting, Aydın Boru, Mikado Digital Communication Agency, and the Cultured Youth Association. All proceeds from the book’s sales will be donated to support the education of hearing-impaired children through various associations, aiding children in need.

“Our Dreams Have Come True”

Project managers Günsu Saraçoğlu and Betül Ketenci, who emphasized that the goal of the “Talking Letters: Messages from Masters to the Youth” project is to extend a helping hand to children in need, expressed their gratitude to everyone who supported the realization of the project. “This journey began exactly a year ago. Today, we are filled with joy witnessing the fulfillment of our dreams. The masters in our project supported us by narrating the letters they wrote. We are proud that our book will reach a wider audience, and we will continue on this meaningful journey by delivering hopeful messages to the children who are the guarantee of our future,” they said.

The letters will be on display at Liv Hospital Ulus until October 15, featuring master names from various disciplines, such as Mustafa Ayaz, Süleyman Saim Tekcan, Sunay Akın, Sedef Kabaş, Aydın Örs, and Tamer Levent. Liv Hospital doctors also supported the project by addressing the youth through letters.
