The robotics team SPARC #5665, operating under the umbrella of Sainte Pulcherie French High School, is attracting attention with the success it has achieved in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), one of Turkey’s leading educational institutions. Representing the Turkish youth in the Houston tournament finals last year, the team won more than 15 awards, making a name for itself both nationally and internationally.

In the 2023 Houston tournament finals, the SPARC #5665 robotics team proudly represented Turkey in the FIRST® Robotics Competition. The team, with its notable achievements in the competition, was honored with the FIRST®Impact Finalist award. This special award, given to only 6 teams worldwide each year, allowed the SPARC #5665 robotics team to earn the right to participate in the highest-level event of FRC, the FIRST®Championship 2024.

Established in 2015 under the leadership of mentor Abidin Zenginler, the SPARC #5665 robotics team has been dedicated to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities, aiming to increase young people’s interest in technology. Along with its achievements, the team continues to raise awareness in STEM among young individuals.

Preparing for the upcoming season, the SPARC #5665 robotics team is gearing up to proudly represent Turkey at the FRC finals in the United States, scheduled for April 17-21, 2024. The team strives to successfully represent the country on the international stage, contributing to the growing interest of young people in science and technology.
