The contract has been signed with the company that won the Gölcük Central Urban Transformation Construction Tender. Construction work in the area will begin with the delivery of the site.
The Gölcük Central Urban Transformation Construction Tender was held on April 11, 2023. Siyahkalem Engineering Construction Industry and Trade Inc., which won the tender with 1 billion 533 million TL, signed a construction contract with EPP-Real Estate Planning Construction Project Management and Trade Inc., a subsidiary of Emlak Konut Inc. Construction work will begin with the delivery of the site, which will be done in a few days. In the Gölcük Central Urban Transformation Project, 360 apartments, 407 shops, and a 2-story parking lot for 985 vehicles will be built in 10 blocks.
URBAN TRANSFORMATION ON 36 ACRES
The Urban Transformation Plan Amendment of the 36-acre area between Merkez Mahallesi, D-130 Highway, Amiral Sağlam Street, 19 May Street, and Ali Fuat Kanpara Street (20. Sokak), which was declared a risky area in 2015, was carried out by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change General Directorate of Spatial Planning in 2020.
CONTRACTS SIGNED WITH TITLE HOLDERS
With the protocol signed on June 02, 2022, between the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, and Gölcük Municipality; Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality also undertook to cover the damage of 100 million TL and the infrastructure works. Gölcük Central Urban Transformation Office was opened at the entrance of the Gölcük Municipality Service Building Council Hall, and meetings were held with title holders and contracts were signed.
DEMOLITIONS OF BUILDINGS COMPLETED QUICKLY
The expedited expropriation legal proceedings have also been completed by the Gölcük Municipality. Following the demolition auction held by the Gölcük Municipality on January 5th, 2023, the demolition of 321 apartments, 248 businesses, 69 offices, and 125 warehouses was completed with the demolition work that began on January 16th, 2023.
