İnsan İzi İnsani Yardım Derneği has announced details about their “İyilik Köyü” project in a promotion program held at Üsküdar Bağlarbaşı Kongre ve Kültür Merkezi on 4th February 2023. The main aim of İnsan İzi is to help hundreds of children, youth and families, especially orphans in Tanzania. The program began with a performance by percussion artist Fazıl Karagöz and was hosted by Emrullah Uzun.
İnsan İzi İnsani Yardım Derneği, with the motto of “Leaving a mark in kindness”, is a new generation aid platform that reaches out to the oppressed, orphans, and needy in many regions of the world, especially Turkey and African countries. They are preparing to embark on a long-term project in Africa.
Starting from the belief that lasting good can sprout from the soil, İnsan İzi announced its “İyilik Köyü” project, to be established in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in East Africa, through a promotional program held at Üsküdar Bağlarbaşı Culture Center on Saturday, February 4th. Hosted by Emrullah Uzun, the night started with a performance by percussion artist Fazıl Karagöz.
“A person is remembered by the marks they leave.”
The General Coordinator of İnsan İzi Association, Ahmet Naim Can, made the opening speech. He emphasized that they started the journey for a better world without discriminating by religion, language, and color, and emphasized that they prioritize being modern, transparent, participatory, and most importantly fast in their work. Can stated that they dream of a world where people in need can live in a humane way, and added that they are working to create thematic, sustainable, lasting, and transformative projects that go beyond traditional humanitarian aid efforts. He said: “As we all know, people are remembered by the marks they leave. We are working to the best of our abilities to be remembered by the marks we leave. The highest values we believe in as the İnsan İzi family are sincerity and sensitivity. We will continue our work by expanding and multiplying the chain of kindness from the day we were established until today and from today to the future, with the belief that the mark of kindness will be lasting.”
The goal of the project is to empower people in Africa to become self-sufficient using their rich underground and above-ground resources.
“The aim of the project is to enable Africa to be self-sufficient with its underground and surface wealth.” The founder and president of Human Trace Association, Umut Sarıkaya, began his speech by saying that he realized how important it was to say something new and dream of a new world when he went to Somalia 10 years ago and faced children there. He emphasized that they were aware of the need to say different things for Africa, and that building a strong and empowering Africa was what they had to do. The aim of the project is to enable Africa to be self-sufficient with its underground and surface wealth, he stated.
President Umut Sarıkaya continued his speech by saying that they are the descendants of their ancestors who made Anatolia a center of science and knowledge civilization based on love, kindness, and mutual support. He emphasized that it is inherent in their spirit and culture to be leaders of goodness, to guide others towards the path of good, and to leave a positive impact. As Insan İzi, they have set a new goal to leave a positive impact on the world. They aim to plant the seed of kindness for tomorrow’s Africa today.
“Being on the side of good doesn’t require being a superhero!”
Ahmet Özcan, the Vice President of the Human Trace Association, also shared the details of the “Village of Goodness” project with the guests and press members who attended the promotional program. Stressing that it was not necessary to be a superhero to stand by goodness and stand against evil, Özcan believed that a heart full of kindness has the power to change the whole world. He emphasized that the most important problem in Africa was health. During his presentation, Ahmet Özcan explained that the Human Trace Humanitarian Association aimed to improve the quality of life and education in Tanzania with the “Village of Goodness” that will include a school, orphanage, mosque, health center, guesthouse, workshops, and smart agriculture fields. With the “Village of Goodness”, which will serve as an example of smart villages, the Human Trace aims to create an ecosystem in which young people, women, and families will be an example, first in Tanzania and later in different regions of Africa.
The presentation ended with the presentation of plaques to those who voluntarily participated in the works, and a lottery to determine two people who would go to Africa.
