“We are experiencing the excitement of reaching the month of mercy this year in a bitter way”
Expressing that they experience the excitement of reaching the month of Ramadan together with all their fellow citizens, Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatımcı said: “The month of mercy has come once again with all its beauties. Of course, we are in the joy of reaching the month of Ramadan, but we are experiencing this year’s joy in a bitter way due to the earthquake that affected 11 provinces and lost thousands of our citizens. However, it will give great strength to our state and nation in resurrecting the earthquake zones with the resurrection myth it carries during the month of Ramadan, and it will be an occasion for us to get through these days more easily. We performed our first tarawih prayer together with our fellow citizens at the Seljuk Central Mosque and shared their Ramadan joy. We are together with our fellow citizens in accordance with the spiritual climate of this month with the tarawih prayers we perform together in this month, when we are more in touch with each other’s problems and increase the love we have for each other, and we plan better tomorrows for our Seljuks together with these consultations. May Allah not break our unity and solidarity, together with these values, we will heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster with Allah’s permission. May Allah make this month of Ramadan an opportunity to get rid of all our troubles.. I wish all our citizens and citizens a happy and peaceful Ramadan.”
