Ramadan solidarity in Karabakh

The first meeting of Karabağlar Municipality Council in April was held under the management of Karabağlar Mayor Muhittin Selvitopu. The meeting, where the members of the committee and specialization commission were determined, were attended by CHP District Chairman Bülent Sözüpek, IYI Party District Chairman Aysel Ersöz, DEVA Party District Chairman Abdullah Kaya, Felicity Party Former District Chairman Eymen Ünalan and district administrators Mustafa Özkurt, Necati Tağaç and Şener Uzun, MHP District Deputy Chairman Uğur Durmaz also attended.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, President Selvitopu wished that the month of Ramadan would bring love, respect, peace, tolerance, unity and solidarity, “We are going through difficult times due to the disasters we have been through. Once again, I wish God’s mercy on our citizens who lost their lives, my condolences to their relatives and a speedy recovery to the injured.”

Emphasizing that Karabağlar Municipality prioritizes solidarity with citizens in need this month, Mayor Selvitopu said:

“The needs of both those in the disaster area and our citizens who come to our district continue. We continue to send humanitarian supplies to the region. We strengthened our “Social Boutique” store for those who come to Karabağlar with the purchases we made. Our Social Aid Affairs Directorate also provides the necessary support by communicating with them one-on-one. We take care to do these without exaggerating and avoiding populism. This year, we limited our fast-breaking meals to 5 and concentrated on supporting our citizens in need. We deliver the food parcels we have prepared to our people in need one by one.”

Asphalt works will intensify

Noting that the maintenance of the Asphalt Pilent of the Directorate of Science Affairs has been completed, Mayor Selvitopu said, “Our asphalt paving works will continue intensively, except for rainy days.”

President Selvitopu stated that the construction of Atatürk Youth and Sports Center is continuing rapidly and the construction of Çalıkuşu District Center, which will serve 4 neighborhoods, has been completed.

Stating that the tender for the renovation and closing of Yeşilyurt Pazaryeri will be made in the coming days, Mayor Selvitopu said, “Since the ground is rocky, it is necessary to work sensitively. When the construction starts, there will be a temporary market arrangement to meet the market needs of the region. In addition, as soon as this construction is completed, we will start the necessary works to make the Esendere and Yurtoğlu marketplaces closed. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues its work on Üçkuyular Marketplace,” he said.

At the assembly meeting, the members of the committee and the specialized commissions were also elected by election.
