Swedish symphonic metal band Therion, which has a large fan base in Turkey, will present a metal feast to its fans on January 14, 2023 at KüçükÇiftlik Park.

Therion, who is preparing to come to Istanbul after a long break as part of the Leviathan II tour, will perform cult songs in which metal music and symphonic elements, opera-style vocals and classical music infrastructure are intertwined with dazzling stage shows, in a concert with a large choir of tenors and sopranos.

The special guest of the concert will be the Doom-Death metal band Pilgrimage, which will give their first Istanbul concert. Established in 1987, Therion left its mark on the music world with its unique style created by using symphonic elements in metal music, operatic vocals and the harmony of medieval choirs. The architect of the group, Christofer Johnson, who never gave up on his core values in music and always forced himself to discover new ways, created something unimaginable and inspired many bands over the years.

The band, which uses choirs composed of sopranos and tenors accompanied by many classical instruments such as violin, flute, oboe, and cello, has released 18 studio albums to date. The first two albums of Therion’s all-hit trilogy, “Leviathan I” and “Leviathan II”, were received with great enthusiasm by the band’s fans around the world.
