As a result of the decision taken unanimously at the May Ordinary Meeting of the Menderes Municipal Council, two milk tanks were donated to support the earthquake-stricken milk producers in Hatay. As part of the works carried out by the Menderes Municipality Agricultural Services Directorate, the milk tanks were loaded onto trucks and sent to the region. Feed aid
In addition, the decision of the council also approved providing feed support to the producers affected by the earthquake in Osmaniye, to be delivered to them. After the work to be done, a feed aid of 150 thousand Turkish lira will also be provided to the agricultural cooperatives and producers in Osmaniye.
We are always with them
Menderes Municipality Vice Mayor Erkan Özkan, speaking about the support provided, said, “After the earthquake that occurred on February 6th, we continue to stand by both the earthquake zones and our citizens affected by the earthquake in our district. We went to Hatay with our council members over the weekend and met with earthquake-stricken citizens in the region, listened to their problems and demands. We also united with earthquake-stricken children by holding our annual kite festival in Samandağı. With the decision we made in our May council, we donated two milk tanks that we have to milk producers in Hatay. Our tanks are on the road. We will also be with our producers in Osmaniye with feed support. That’s why we are doing the necessary work. We will continue to provide all kinds of support for the revitalization of the economy in the region and the support of the producers.”
