SunExpress, a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, announced that it has performed a total of 60 special flights to transport search-and-rescue and health teams to the earthquake affected area. The company has transported over 2,000 search-and-rescue and health personnel to the region with these special flights and has also evacuated more than 4,000 citizens affected by the earthquake on the return flights.
In addition, SunExpress delivered 63 tons of aid material to the earthquake affected area via free cargo services, through all official authorities such as AFAD. SunExpress will continue to arrange special flights in coordination with official institutions in the coming days to transport the search-and-rescue and health teams to the earthquake affected area as soon as possible and to evacuate citizens from the area.
SunExpress announced on February 8th that it has made its flights free of charge for the provinces affected by the earthquake. The company announced that it will perform all domestic flights with departure and arrival from Adana, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Malatya and Mardin for free until February 13th, 2023.

The ticket change and cancellation rights have been extended.
SunExpress is offering free ticket change and cancellation rights on all domestic and international flights with departure and arrival from Adana, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Hatay, Malatya, Mardin, Kars, Kayseri, Samsun, Trabzon and Van until February 21st, 2023.
Ticket change processes can be made through the “Reservations” step on the www.sunexpress.com website or mobile application. Ticket refund processes can be made through the sales channel where the ticket was purchased.
The free baggage allowance has been increased.
Additionally, SunExpress provides additional baggage allowance for passengers on its flights to the earthquake area in addition to the baggage rights applicable in the ticket tariffs. For domestic and international flights with departure and arrival in Adana, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Malatya and Mardin, an additional 15 kg of free baggage allowance is provided in addition to the baggage allowance provided in the ticket tariff, valid until February 21, 2023.
