“Sultans of Aydın”, hosting Sarıyer Belediyespor in their field, won the match differently: 3-1. According to the result of the match, the Sultans of Aydın reached the semi-finals of the Turkish Cup for the first time in its history.

Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu; Republican People’s Party (CHP) Aydın Deputy Süleyman Bülbül watched with Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç, CHP Aydın Provincial President Hikmet Saatçı and Aydın Chamber of Commerce President Hakan Ülken.

Aydın’s Sultans, who lost the first set 20-25, left their mark on the rest of the match. Aydın Metropolitan Women’s Volleyball Team won the second set 26-24 with the numbers in the last minutes, and won the third set 25-14 without difficulty. With the final set ending 25-22, the spectators and the team were very happy: 3-1.

While Aydınlı fans did not leave the team alone throughout the match with their cheers, Aydın’s Sultans came out to the match in black uniforms for earthquake awareness. After the match, President Çerçioğlu and the protocol took a souvenir photo with both teams and congratulated the players.

The rivals of Aydın Metropolitan Belediyespor Women’s Volleyball Team, which made it to the four finals of the AXA Sigorta Turkish Cup, are Vakıfbank, Turkish Airlines and Fenerbahçe.
