Master artist Su Yücel will be at Galeri Diani with her solo exhibition “CAPTURED TIME”, her works that are almost like a documentary in which she portrays hope, what she chooses from the fleeting moments and freezes them before they get old!
Multidisciplinary artist Su Yücel’s exhibition entitled “Captured Time” is taking place between April 8 and April 29, 2023 at Galeri Diani. In this exhibition, the artist captures his experiences in the moment and conveys what remains in his mind to us by combining human-induced experiences all over the world and in our country, moments of nature with the joy of living. While he shares his memory of life with us with the spirit of a documentary filmmaker, he transfers the life, time and space elements in his palette to the audience by melting them together.
“I followed the smell, noise, colors, texture of time; I recorded it without wasting time,” says Su Yücel, and looks at almost every moment of life like a painting. In the transfer of her artistic language to the canvas, she blends her knowledge with the moments that remain in her mind, takes a photo of the moment and shares her feeling with the audience. In some of her works, she even depicts the framing and keys of the camera, she both captures the moment and transfers that moment to memories.
As we all know, Su Yücel is constantly nurturing her art with her documentary direction and travelogue. Her sincere dialogues with nature and people find a place in her works, she paints. While filming his dialogues with people and nature while shooting a documentary, he also illustrates his emotions.
The master artist digs deep into the details that everyone does not see or feel in daily life and chases after those details and tells us how important these details are to us, the viewers, and that they create moments and memories.
As an artist who loves colors, Su Yücel also emphasizes the importance of poetry as a family tradition in her works. While saying that different disciplines unite on a common denominator in art. “My talent, joy and excitement is more towards color. Because color is something that excites me. I can’t see life without color,” she says.
