This week’s guest of the program “Eylül Aşkın ile…” (With Eylül Aşkın…), presented by Eylül Aşkın, was actress and writer Sevtap Çapan. Çapan criticized many issues related to the sector from theater to television. Sevtap Çapan, with whom we had a conversation about her successful works on acting and her books, also gave information about her future projects.
“This theft of ideas is something we can’t get rid of.”
His highly acclaimed work “I…” Sevtap Çapan, who complained that following the Kurtuluş series and the play “Ben Kara Fatma” that she staged and performed within the scope of this series, many theaters started to stage plays that are not a series or do not have any purpose in the form of “Ben X”, spoke harshly. “There is an impudence here. The fact that this is still happening today is very ugly to me.”

“Today’s actors have no goals.”
Sevtap Çapan, who stated that an actor should also have an idealistic side and have a goal, especially for the aestheticized actors we see more and more on television, said, “They all look like they came out of the same lathe.”
“If I am to return, my return must be spectacular.”
Sevtap Çapan, who continues to work in theater and still continues to meet with the theater audience with the “Ben” Salvation series, said about her long absence from television, “A few projects came, I didn’t like them. If I’m going to return, my transformation must be magnificent.” Stating that she is selective because her previous works were cult projects in Turkey, the artist is open to offers and is waiting for the right project.

Two New Books on the Way
Stating that he is preparing to bring a new book of essays to the readers in June, Çapan said that he is also working on a book with professional content on acting, and that they have set the release date of this book as October.
