Recently, Turkish pop music’s beloved star Serdar Ortaç, who has been making headlines with his statements, was also discussed by his close friend and psychotherapist, Specialist Psychologist and Psychotherapist Yelda Başaran, following his mother’s comments.
“Serdar Is More Mentally Balanced Than Ever”
Yelda Başaran, Serdar Ortaç’s friend of 20 years who has stood by him during tough times, shared insights about Ortaç that everyone is curious about. Başaran said, “Everyone is asking me about Serdar Ortaç right now. Serdar is more mentally balanced than ever before in his life. At one point, he was misunderstood because of his statements. This was because Serdar, who actually dislikes alcohol, ended up using alcohol and overdosing on his medication in hopes of relieving his pain.”
“We Were Always By His Side”
Başaran mentioned that together with Serdar Ortaç’s mother, Nesrin Hanım, they have always been by Ortaç’s side during this process. “We have always been by Serdar’s side during this process, together with his mother, Aunt Nesrin. Yelda Başaran stated that Serdar Ortaç should focus more on his health and work rather than marriage and having children at the moment. “Like Serdar’s mother, Aunt Nesrin, I also believe that Serdar should focus on his health and work right now. Serdar’s greatest antidepressant is his stage and songs. He is someone who feels peace and happiness through the applause of his fans, completely work-focused. So, contrary to popular belief, Serdar is not a ‘love addict’ but rather a ‘work addict’ artist,” she said.
“A Conscientious Person”
Başaran emphasized that Ortaç is a very conscientious person. “He never wants to hurt or upset anyone intentionally. If Serdar is not getting married, not wanting children, and not having a relationship right now, the main reason is that he does not want to hurt the other person. Because his only concern right now is to regain his health and achieve great things in his career,” she stated.
