Gaziemir Municipality’s World Forestry Day and Forest Week organized at the event organized by 170 olive saplings and plane tree tree was brought together with soil.
March 21, World Forestry Day and Forest Week activities within the scope of Gaziemir Municipality organized a tree planting event. Gaziemir Mayor Halil Arda and his wife Deniz Arda, Deputy Mayors, Assembly Members, Dokuz Eylül Neighborhood Headman Mustafa Tosun and residents attended the event held in Dokuz Eylül Neighborhood. 170 olive trees were brought together with soil at the tree planting activity. Martyr Police Ibrahim Assistant Kindergarten in the event held in the event, President Arda and tiny students, planted plane tree in the garden of the school.
Celebrating World Forestry Day and Forest Week, Mayor of Gaziemir Halil Arda drew attention to the water crisis caused by global climate change and drought. Stating that they are continuing their efforts to leave a cleaner environment for future generations and create a greener Gaziemir, Mayor Arda said, “The global climate crisis threatens the future of our world.
