On the 100th anniversary of our Republic, Saat&Saat, aiming to help children and young people make productive use of their time, is embarking on the “Smart Watches Corporate Social Responsibility Project.”
As the sole authorized distributor for world-renowned watch brands in Turkey, Saat&Saat is taking its Smart Watches Corporate Social Responsibility Project, which it launched last year, to the next level. Having reached 417 teachers and 13,000 students in 39 schools in Istanbul within the first two years, Saat&Saat aims to reach a total of 100 schools in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir in the 100th year of our Republic, with the goal of teaching the value of time and how to use it consciously from a young age.
These training sessions, under the heading of “smart biological clock,” cover topics like physical health and biological rhythms, guiding children in effective time management for education, sports, hobbies, and technology under the “smart time management” concept. Additionally, the project seeks to raise awareness about the excessive use of technology and mobile devices, which is a major source of time wastage in today’s world.
As part of this project, Saat&Saat offers scholarship opportunities to financially disadvantaged students to support their hobbies.
Ayşem Suner, the Marketing Director of Saat&Saat, stated that they aim to implement the project in 100 schools across Turkey and said, “Considering the pace of daily life, we aim to help children and young people understand the value of time and develop their time planning skills. We began our project in Istanbul and now, with the ‘100 Schools in the 100th Year of the Republic’ project, we aim to reach children all over Turkey and reach a total of 20,000 students. In our schools in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, we say, #NowIsTheTimeForChildren.”
Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Hacıcaferoğlu, the Istanbul Youth and Sports Provincial Director, expressed that the concepts of biological clocks and time management are of great importance for children. He believes that this awareness will contribute positively to the success of future generations.
Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Pembecioğlu, a faculty member of the Faculty of Communication at Istanbul University, who coordinates time management training under the project, emphasized the importance of effectively managing time. She stated that teaching children and young people the value of time will contribute to nurturing successful individuals in the future.
As part of this project, children receive education about their biological clock cycle, according to Prof. Dr. Betül Ulukol from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Health and Diseases. She said that this knowledge helps them lead healthier lives. “Early education about the biological clock cycle helps children and adults lead healthier and more productive lives,” she added.
Through this project, Saat&Saat aims to contribute to the future success of children by teaching them time management skills. Additionally, the project aims to support students who lack the means to pursue their hobbies by providing scholarships.
