On February 6, two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and 7.6 in the Elbistan district caused great destruction in 11 provinces, including Kahramanmaraş.

To the citizens who came to both the disaster area and the district after the earthquake disaster that stifled Turkey; Kınık Municipality, which provides uninterrupted support with both Social Market support and aid trucks and mobile WC bathrooms sent to the disaster area; now it has started to offer face-to-face psychological counseling services.

Psychologist Buket Mert, who provides free psychological counseling services to earthquake-affected families settled in the district in cooperation with Kınık Municipality, conducts face-to-face meetings in order to minimize the trauma experienced by citizens.

Psychologist Buket Mert visits the citizens who were injured in the earthquake at their homes with the employees of Kınık Municipality Public Relations Unit. In addition, earthquake victims can make an appointment by calling 0 232 687 10 12 during working hours.

Kınık Mayor Dr. Sadık Doğrer stated that many citizens have benefited from this service free of charge so far, and said, “Our support to the disaster area and our citizens coming from that region to our district will continue as much as we can. We will work with all our might and we will get through the days after this painful disaster with solidarity and unity.” said.
