One of the major events in documentary cinema, the Digital Details Culture and Arts Documentary Film Festival was held online for the fifth time this year. Taking place digitally from May 8 to 10, 2025, the festival celebrated the finest works in the world of documentary filmmaking.
Awards were presented in categories such as “Impressive Screenplay,” “Best Director,” “Creative Editing,” and “Original Production Design,” while the prestigious “Master of Documentary Honor Award” was given this year to acclaimed director Selçuk Metin.
Statement from Festival President Prof. Dr. Ceyhan Kandemir
The founder and president of the festival, director and academic Prof. Dr. Ceyhan Kandemir, shared the following remarks:
“This year, our festival once again hosted a range of high-quality productions, and our jury members carried out a thorough and meticulous evaluation process. The ‘Master of Documentary Honor Award’, which in previous years was presented to esteemed directors such as Hasan Özgen and Ertuğrul Karslıoğlu, has this year been awarded to Selçuk Metin, who has powerfully portrayed publicly cherished artists through his biographical documentaries.”
