Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek participated in the Meeting of Mayors held within the scope of the Second Century Economics Congress held in Izmir with the title of “Invitation to Innovation”.

Within the scope of the Second Century Economics Congress, hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, between 15-21 March 2023, Local Economic Development Mayors Meeting in the Resilient Cities of the Future was held. CHP Deputy Chairman Seyit Torun, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek , Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, Adana Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar and Nation Alliance provincial and district mayors attended the meeting. In the meeting, the Presidents discussed the economic development from the local and evaluated the work of the Economics Congress.

Making an evaluation about the meeting, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek said, “Our Presidents, who attended the congress yesterday, told us what they will do after May 14, God willing, as our President Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu becomes President, together with the entire 6-member table team. The Economics Congress held in İzmir 100 years ago aimed at economic independence after the War of Independence. The concept of history repeating itself is exactly that. The Economic Congress of the Second Century is also very important in terms of shedding light on the second century of our Republic and the future. I find it very meaningful. I would like to thank everyone who contributed,” he said.

The final declaration, which will play a role in the economic policies of Turkey’s second century, will be announced to the whole of Turkey and the world on March 21.
